The Minister for Justice has recently announced the opening of the Afghan Admission Programme. The programme will be accepting applications for a period of eight weeks from the 16 December 2021.

The Minister for Justice has announced that 500 places have been made available for the programme, applications will be accepted up until the 24 February only. The programme is being made available to current or previous Afghan nationals who are residing in Ireland and wish to have their close family members join them in Ireland. Their family members must be residing in Afghanistan, or in the bordering countries which include Iran, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Proposers can apply for up to 4 close family members to join them in here in Ireland.
