EU Treaty Rights and Domestic Residence Online Applications

As announced on the INIS website on Friday 15th January, between Monday 18 January and Friday 30 April 2021, applicants for both EU Treaty Rights and Domestic Residence are permitted to submit their applications by email along with copies of supporting documentation.

COVID-19 & the English Language Sector

A statement on the INIS website has said that Prospective International English Language students who wish to come to Ireland, must wait until in-person classes have resumed. If prospective students do not follow these guidelines, they may be refused permission to land in Ireland and may not be permitted to register. Providers of such in person language classes have been notified of these requirements.

Extension of Immigration Permissions – 23 December 2020

The Minister for Justice announced on 23 December a further temporary extension of immigration permissions and the closure of the Burgh Quay Registration Office from the 23 December onwards. This notice is in relation to Immigration and International Protection permissions to reside in the State that are due to expire between 21st January 2021 and 20th April 2021 and supplement all previous extension notices. INIS website states that this to be the final extension, in light of five previous extensions of permissions brought into place since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020.
